Workshop details:
This workshop is based on decades of research by Dr. John Gottman and his bestselling book, The Seven Principles for Making Marriage Work. The workshop is designed to equip couples with practical tools that will help to improve and strengthen their relationship, repair conflicts, and build intimacy and trust. Each step of the process covered over the two days is geared towards supporting relationships that require repair along with strengthening happy and healthy ones.

Goals of the workshop:
1. Improve friendship, fondness & admiration
2. Gain skills to address perpetual problems and deal with solvable ones
3. Manage conflict constructively
4. Enhance romance & intimacy
5. Create shared meaning
6. Deepen love maps and create a roadmap to repair
7. Maintain gains throughout a lifetime

This workshop is appropriate for:
• Couples considering marriage or long-term relationship
• Cohabiting and engaged couples
• Newlyweds
• Couples with preschoolers or school-age children
• Couples who have been together for many years
• Retired /Empty nester couples
• Same-sex and heterosexual couples

This workshop is NOT appropriate for:
• Couples in severe relationship distress
• Individuals experiencing significant emotional or physical abuse
• Individuals with significant mental health problems
• Relationships where one or both partners are addicted to drugs or alcohol, or significantly challenged by other compulsive behaviors

This workshop is psycho-educational, meaning that it is designed to provide information and teach you techniques to enhance your relationship. It is not couples therapy. As Leaders & Facilitators, our role is to deliver content and assist with couples exercises. If any participants feel they might benefit from individual or couples therapy, we can refer them to appropriate professionals.
