and eHUB are campus wide initiatives. Led by the Technology and Commercialization Centre, at the Alberta School of Business, student entrepreneurs from all faculties build teams, participate in a community and link to a wide range of campus and external partners. This year we celebrate a expanded partnership with Startup Edmonton.
We are proud to have our longtime partner Entrepreneurs' Organization (EO) joining us again this year! EO is the world’s only peer-to-peer network exclusively for entrepreneurs. During the evening we will see student interviews as a part of the Global Student Entrepreneur Awards (GSEA) program, which is designed for students who own and operate businesses while attending high school or post-secondary education.
The Global Student Entrepreneur Awards (GSEA) is where young entrepreneurs can learn to promote their business and its value proposition by competing with other business owners. Participation in local, regional, and online competitions will result in worldwide media coverage for entrepreneurs and their businesses. Students can also meet and benefit from the experience of fellow entrepreneurs, the VIP judging panel, and industry representatives from the Entrepreneurs' Organization.
Local finalists will compete for a prize package worth up to $20,000 in cash and inkind services. The local winner will move on to compete against the world's best student entrepreneurs at the Global Finals for their chance at the prize of $50,000 in cash and inkind services. Additional global prizes also include services donated by EO members, such as web design, printing, public relations, and consulting.
