In many cultures around the world, rebozos have timelessly been used by pregnant and birthing women for added comfort measures and relaxation, to help reposition babies, to ease labour and back pain, while conserving a mother’s energy.
Rebozos are also a great tool for doulas, midwives and partners to work with, making it easier to support labouring women by reducing the physical impact on the birth attendant's body.
In this two and half hour class, you will learn how to use a rebozo during the prenatal period, and throughout the various stages of labour, while safely protecting your own back.
This class will inspire you to share your knowledge with your clients, and work with a rebozo during your next birth. You'll most likely notice the soothing positive impact a rebozo has on a labouring mother's experience.
This continuing education class has been approved in the past by CAPPA, DONA and New Beginnings. Check with your certified body to ensure that this class will still be honoured.
A certificate of attendence will be emailed to you following the class. If I get called away to attend a birth, we may need to reschedule.
